Hesten får besøg fra det store udland, når vores internationale gæster fra HIT International Theatre Arts tager hul på denne uges fire opføelser af den lettere absurde komedie HAP.
Ingen andre end dramatikeren John Foster selv er nemlig kommet til København for at overvære sin tekst opført på dansk grund. I den forbindelse er vi blevet enige om at bringe et lille portræt af den anerkendte engelske dramatiker og manuskriptforfatter:
Introducing acclaimed British playwright John Foster, whose comedy HAP is currently guest performing at Teatret ved Sorte Hest in Copenhagen.
BAFTA award-winning and OFFIE nominated British playwright and screenwriter, John Foster, has had his plays produced in London, South-West England, Hamburg, Copenhagen, and Malmø. Notable among John’s writing are for example his free adaptation of FRANKENSTEIN, the touring production of SHOT AT DAWN, his award-winning play RIDE! and CHUMMY which performed at the White Bear Theatre in London, receiving four OFFIE nominations, including Best New Play.
John has also written for television and film, including a BAFTA award-winning BBC episode of OMNIBUS on US crime writer Raymond Chandler. He scripted the Patrick Swayze movie LETTERS FROM A KILLER and is contributor to the award-winning crime fiction collection MEAN TIME.
